Txakoli Mokoroa is a white wine with a marked varietal character, pale yellow in colour, limpid and bright, with lemon-green tones.

The intense fruity aromas that are typical for this variety, are reminiscent of peaches, apples, and fresh grass, as well as certain floral nuances. The Txakoli feels fresh in the mouth, it is well-balanced and it has a singular bitter touch.

The final aftertaste of this wine is delicate and acidic, and the carbonic bubbles make it cheerful and youthful. This is a wine with a soft and light mouthfeel.

PRODUCTION

The grape is processed in the shortest possible time to avoid any alteration, thus preserving the characteristics of the product in the best way. During the process, a mixture of Hondarrabi Zuri (85%) and Charddonay (15%) is crushed and immediately taken to the press. The fermentation of the juice is conducted in controlled temperatures, avoiding the presence of oxygen as much as possible.

TASTING

• Visual phase: Greenish yellow colour. When pouring, infinite fine bubbles that create a small cloud are seen.
• Olfactory phase: There is a predominance of citrus fruits, accompanied by white fruits such as apples and bananas.
• Taste phase: Refreshing, not excessively acidic. A well-balanced and nicely rounded with a lot of volume and a long journey in the mouth. In the throat, typical bitters of the Hondarrabi Zuri variety appear.

PAIRING

Ideal to take it alone as an aperitif, or accompanying any type of vegetables, fish or white meat. It is a perfect combination to enjoy the good pintxos of the Basque Country, or more exotic cuisines such as Oriental or South American.

SERVING TEMPERATURE

It is recommended to serve cold, between 6 and 8°C.
