What does D.O Getariako Txakolina mean?
The Getariako Txakolina Denomination of Origin was created in 1989, it is the oldest of all those that we find today. This DO controls and guarantees the quality of the wine that is being consumed from the origin of the grape.
At first, it only covered the vineyards located in the municipality of Getaria, but in 2007 it expanded its domains to the entire province of Gipuzkoa.
